RAD Shock Mount
INTERCHANGEABLE MICROPHONE ISOLATION
The RAD Shock Mounts are quiet, rugged and versatile. They have changeable mic clips to fit microphones from 8-28mm in diameter. The suspension can also be adjusted with softer and firmer hoops to suit different microphones.
RAD-1
Boom mount for small pencil microphones (super-cardioid, cardioid and omni)
RAD-2
Boom mount for shotgun microphones (if it has an interference tube then use a RAD-2)
RAD-3
Handheld mount for pencil or shotgun microphones. There is also a 3/8 thread on bottom of the handle.
Dark Editions
The Dark Editions come with grey mic clips and grey hoops in place of light blue colour.
MKH50 Edition
The MKH50 Edition includes square mic clips and grey hoops in place of standard clips and light blue hoops.
CMC / CCM Edition
The CMC/CCM Edition comes with grey mic clips and hoops in place of standard light blue. Also includes an 8mm mic clip for Lemo connector.
Field Edition
Field Edition mounts are low profile and come in singles and pairs. They are perfect for mono or stereo recording on stands.
Camera Shoe
Radius has partnered with MID49 to create this camera shoe mic mount. The base also has a threaded hole that can be used for attaching to cheese plates.
MS Double Mic Clips for RAD Mounts
MS19 and MS20 Double microphone clips fit microphones 19-21mm in diameter. They can be used with mono microphones or with MS setups including a figure-8 Mic.
- MS19 mic clips are designed for 19-20mm diameter microphones.
- MS20 mic clips are designed for 20-21mm diameter microphones
- Adjustment screws allow mics to be aligned vertically
- The mic clips space capsules approximately 2.5mm for close coincident placement
- Comes with 8mm inserts for use with MZL / Lemo connectors or smaller microphones
Interchangeable Mic Clips
All mic clips will fit in all of the RAD mounts and hoops
- Universal mic clips have light blue soft grip and fit 19-25mm diameter mics - up to 28mm diameter without safety strap
- Dark Editions have soft grip in a matte grey colour
- MKH50 mic clips fit the square body Sennheiser MKH20, MKH30, MKH40, MKH50, MKH60 and MKH70
- 19/20mm mic clips fit 19-22mm diameter microphones
- 12.5mm mic clips fit 12.5-14mm diameter microphones
- 8mm mic clips fit 8-9mm diameter microphones and LEMO/MZL connectors
