Schoeps KMIT must have accessories!
The much anticipated Schoeps KMIT microphone launched at this years IBC 2024 event and we've been lucky enough to get our hands on one. Here is our list of recommended shockmounts and wind protection for the KMIT.
THE RAD-2 SHOCK MOUNT
The RAD-2 Shockmount is the perfect for solution when you're wanting versatility and convenience. If you're planning on using a foam windscreen or any heavier fur wind protection, the RAD-2 will be able to support the additional weight, whilst also not compromising on the performance and isolation.
If you're wanting even more isolation, the RAD-1 Shockmount hoops work. However for anything over the KMIT CMC 1U, you may risk dipping from the microphone.
When it comes to the Schoeps KMIT microphone, we understand that the colette series has a whole range amplifiers that you can swap and change to suit you. Here is a list of cables and spare parts for the RAD Shockmounts that you might need for your KMIT setup.
