The longest mic will determine the basket size, so this will be the MKH 416 in this case. For that we’d recommend the Mini-ALTO 280 if you are using low profile XLR-3f into the mic, if you are using regular straight Neutrik XLR’s, then the Mini-ALTO 300 would be the better size.

In terms of combining them within the Mini-ALTO, we have the new MS clips in MS19 (for 19mm pairs) & MS20 (for 20/21mm pairs). The MS19 clips should hold the 416/CO-100-K ok, and there is flex in the clips.

I’ve not personally tried mounting this pair of mics together, and my only slight confirm would be the mount is holding the mics quite far back. This would mean this setup has the potential of sideways movement if being boomed. That in turn could lead to the mics making contact with the inside of the basket (not good). If you’re looking for a setup that remains quite static – I think it’ll be ok. But I just wanted to share my concerns, having not tested it here myself.
