I'm thinking of getting a RAD-1 mount for my MKH 50. I use it with a Cinela Leo and I was wondering if they would work well in terms of balance, durability and handling noise?

If you’re using anything heavier than a foam gag on the 50, I’d suggest switching to the RAD-2 mount over the RAD-1. The RAD-2 hoops are designed to prevent forward sag when there’s a load fitted to the front of the microphone. The top of the RAD-2 hoop has “shoulders” that brace the shock mount & the sides are wider than the RAD-1 hoop. As we include four different hoops in the RAD-2 (1 pair 72D fitted & 3 pairs of different hardness as spares), getting the right set up is down to your preference.

One thing I would suggest though, is using the dedicated MKH mic clips for the RAD-2. The standard “universal” clips will hold the 50, however the MKH clips are a more size for size clip.
