Radius Windshields appoints Rich Johnstone as Managing Director
An exciting new chapter for Radius Windshields
Radius Windshields is delighted to announce the appointment of Rich Johnstone as Managing Director from 1 September 2026, as the company strengthens its leadership team to support the next stage of its growth.
Founded in 2023, Radius has grown at an incredible pace. What started as a small family business has quickly become an ambitious and established company, with an exceptional team, a growing international customer base and an exciting future ahead.
Since founding Radius, Simon Davies has combined the role of Founder and Managing Director with leading the company’s product development, technical direction and wider vision. As the business has grown, the time is right to evolve the leadership structure and give both the commercial and technical sides of Radius the dedicated focus they need for the future.
As Managing Director, Rich will take responsibility for the day-to-day leadership and commercial management of Radius, working closely with Simon and the existing team to strengthen the business and lead the next stage of its growth.
Alongside Rich’s appointment, Simon will move into the role of Founder and Technical Director, allowing him to dedicate more of his time to product development, innovation and working directly with customers. As founder and owner, Simon will remain fully involved in the business and its long-term direction, while continuing to lead the technical expertise and product innovation on which Radius has been built.
Rich brings extensive commercial leadership experience, much of it within the professional audio industry, together with a strong track record of growing international businesses, developing global partnerships and leading commercial growth.
Together, Rich and Simon will build on Radius’s strong foundations, supporting its continued international growth while maintaining the focus on products, innovation and customer relationships that has driven the business from the beginning.
Commenting on the changes, Simon said:
“I am incredibly proud of everything the team has achieved since 2023, and hugely grateful to our customers, suppliers and partners who have supported us along the way. We have come a long way in a very short time, and I truly believe the most exciting part of the Radius journey is still ahead.
“Bringing Rich into the business gives us the additional commercial leadership and experience we need for that next stage, while allowing me to spend more of my time focused on developing products, working with our customers and continuing to drive the product innovation that has become synonymous with the Radius brand. I’m really looking forward to what we can achieve together.”
Rich added:
“I’ve known and admired what Simon and the team have been building at Radius for some time, so I’m genuinely delighted to be joining the business.
“What excites me most is what already exists here: great products, an incredibly passionate and talented team, strong relationships with customers and partners around the world, and a real sense that Radius is only just getting started.
“My job isn’t to change what makes Radius special. It’s to help us build on it, bringing greater commercial focus and structure as we grow, strengthening the relationships we already have, creating new ones and making sure we realise the full potential of the business.
“I’m hugely excited to be working alongside Simon and the wider Radius team, and I can’t wait to get started.”
Rich and Simon will be attending IBC 2026 in Amsterdam, where they look forward to catching up with existing customers and partners, meeting new ones and discussing the next stage of Radius’s growth.
With the business continuing to expand internationally, the team is particularly keen to explore new relationships and opportunities across distribution, retail, OEM and the wider professional audio and broadcast markets.
Visitors to IBC can meet Rich and Simon at stand 8.F80 on Friday 11 and Saturday 12 September to discover more about Radius, its products and what comes next.
