Mini Windcovers for Tascam

Our range of Radius Mini Windcovers for portable recorders are made from high quality synthetic acoustic fur. They are individually made to specifically fit over the recorder microphones they are sized for -- both in the X/Y and A/B configurations.
These windcovers have an internal layer of acoustic foam sewn inside so they maintain their shape and create a pocket of still air around the microphones. They also have a tacky elastic lining inside the bottom to allow the windcovers to safely and securely stay in place when using, whilst also allowing as much of the recorder screen or dials to be visible. Mini windcovers come in black fur colour.

We've spent over a year sourcing the perfect materials to give optimum wind protection. Our multi-pile premium fur, combined with a layer of foam - secured by non-slip elastic - takes away the risk of any potential wind noise.
The Perfect Fit
Each Mini Fur Windcover has been carefully designed to consider all microphone configurations for individual portable recorders. We've also allowed for at least 2cm's of 'dead air space' above the mics to maximise performance.
Frequently Asked Questions
I have a Tascam Portacapture X8, can I still do both X/Y and A/B recording with the Radius Windcover?
Yes! We have made sure there is enough room for both microphone configurations.
Can I plug my headphones into my Tascam DR-05X whilst using a fur windcover?
Yes! We've made sure there is a small hole in the top of the Tascam DR-05X fur windcover to allow you to plug your headphones in.
Will you be making a Tascam Portacapture X6?
Yes! We will be launching the Tascam Portacapture X6 edition late June 2024.
I can't find a fur windcover for my portable recorder.
