Bill Whiston Interview - "You CANNOT be serious?!"

John got the chance to have a discussion with Bill Whiston about his lifetime of experience in all things production / outside broadcast audio.

Bill started his career with the BBC and has worked across a variety of productions and live events. He has had a hand in audio recording and mixing for major sporting events, news, documentary, drama & music just to name a few. Notably, Bill spent 37 years looking after audio on various courts during Wimbledon.

In subtle ways, Bill has been able to innovate and test out audio production techniques throughout the years, likely leading to standards that are now used across outside broadcast for certain events based on his methods. Bill is truly a legend - one of the most experienced and all around nicest person in the industry.

Nowadays Bill has retired from active recording / mixing and is focusing on his passion for orchestral music.
